Privacy statement for Vincent Chu apps

Private by default. Local by design.

This policy applies to iOS, iPadOS, and macOS apps published by Vincent Chu when an app links to this page.

Effective date: June 13, 2026

Data Not CollectedThe apps do not collect personal information from users.
No trackingThe apps do not track users across apps or websites.
No sale or sharingUser data is not sold, rented, shared, or used for advertising.

Scope

This privacy policy covers my Apple platform apps, including macOS, iOS, and iPadOS apps that link here from the App Store, Mac App Store, an in-app screen, or a support page.

The apps are built to process user content on the device whenever possible. Examples of user content may include books, receipts, photos, videos, clipboard items, notes, speech projects, generated stories, app settings, scan indexes, and other files or text that a user chooses to open, create, or save in an app.

What the apps collect

Nothing from users. The apps do not send personal information, documents, media, clipboard history, receipts, prompts, generated text, or usage activity to servers that I operate.

What stays on device

App files, app settings, caches, indexes, OCR results, summaries, generated content, and other app data are stored locally by the app and the operating system unless the user explicitly exports, shares, backs up, or syncs them using Apple system features.

What third parties receive

The apps do not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, or cloud AI services for app data collection. Apple may process App Store purchases, crash reports, diagnostics, iCloud backups, or device-level services under Apple's own privacy policies and user settings.

On-device local LLM privacy

When an app uses an on-device local LLM, the language model runs on your device.

In practical terms, on-device local LLM features mean prompts, source text, and generated responses are processed locally instead of being sent to my servers or to a third-party AI API. The app may use Apple's on-device language model or other local Apple frameworks when the device and operating system support them.

Local AI results can still be saved in the app, copied to the clipboard, exported, included in device backups, or shared by the user. Anyone with access to the device, app data, exported files, or backups may be able to view that local content.

Children's privacy

The apps do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the apps do not collect personal information from users, there is no separate child user data collection.

Changes

I may update this privacy policy when app behavior or platform requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes materially.
